Gallery owner Jason Nazmiyal, who has been immersed in the world of antique rugs for more than 30 years, explains, ‘My passion for antique rugs stems from a deep appreciation for art, history and craftsmanship. Early in my career, I was captivated by how antique rugs serve as functional decor and intricate works of art, each telling its story of tradition, culture and heritage.
‘The more I learned about the painstaking process of weaving and the symbolism behind the designs, the more fascinated I became,’ he adds.
