‘Kujaku’ means peacock in Japanese. This regal, majestic bird symbolises kindness, love, grace and beauty. Set against a rich, purple backdrop, the peacock also exudes luxury and elegance at the heart of our colour-drenched rug, where bold pattern and elements of the natural world are woven together in a glorious celebration.

Kujaku is also inspired by the bold, colourful style of American rug designer Walter Nichols who dramatically changed traditional Chinese rug making with his introduction of bold, asymmetric shapes and bright colours in the 1920s and 30s Art Deco era.

Kujaku brings sophistication, elegance and rich glamour to floors. Luscious colours combine to draw the eye and melt the heart in a rug that elevates interiors. Get ready to fall in love.

It was a turning point; the perfect match for her love of colour and pattern, combined with storytelling. It was the start of a design journey that comes from the heart, that puts passion and craftsmanship at the centre of every project, and strives to connect people, places, art, ideas and nature.
