We managed to find time to pop down to Decorex to see the sights on offer… We came across some serious eye candy!
First up, Alternative Flooring’s Quirky B collection
Alternative Flooring has teamed up with Liberty Fabrics to create 4 designs in a contemporary range of colours all woven on their state of the art axminster looms in Salisbury. With many of the designs originally created by William Morris it’s the perfect blend of old and new. This is the first time Liberty Fabrics’ iconic patterns have been used in carpet. Which leads us to say ‘why had nobody thought of it before?!’

It looks great with white linen in a bedroom as seen here:

We’ve talked about our love of Arte International wallpapers before but couldn’t resist mentioning them again. We visited the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, where they have a showroom, and saw these wonderful wallpaper designs for real. This design is a Wendy Morrison favourite. We love the gold accents in the pillow and bowl which pick out the gold of the flamingos. Such opulence! This certainly sits well with the black and gold trend.

And there was more wall art with Jim Thompson wallcoverings. Again gold speaks volume and adds glamour and decadence.

If you’re into opulence and black with gold then you might want to think about your floor. Our Orient Collection is bang on trend and any of these rugs would provide some oriental decadence to your room.
And whilst you’re planning your wall coverings and your floor coverings perhaps you’d like to sit down? How about on this gorgeous teal sofa from Julian Chichester?

Or for something quirkier perhaps? Check out this uber cool company, Bobo Boom. As well as doing fantastic, quirky lighting they offer these pretty amazing tapestry covered chairs, stools & pouffs. Yep, we’re smitten. We think this would look ace with our Peacock rug. Don’t you?
