The last year may have highlighted the ease and benefit of online communication, but video calls have long been part of the Wendy Morrison Design rug journey.
Whether by Zoom, Skype or Microsoft Teams, we regularly offer virtual appointments to help our customers make the best possible decision when they are investing in one of our handcrafted rugs.
The nature of our handmade designs means we don’t carry stock in the way a retail space would. A virtual appointment from our design studio allows customers to see examples of our rugs, speak to our knowledgeable team, be inspired by the quality, detail and depth of colour, and find the perfect rug style to suit a specific space.
Personalised service
Whether our customer is keen to update one room with a new rug or is considering several rugs to be used throughout their home, we offer personal insight into what might work best and why. Personal service is incredibly important at Wendy Morrison Design. This personal consultation makes finding the perfect rug as easy as possible, which is why we also offer a Sample Service and Custom Rug option. Our goal is to help customers find a rug they don’t want to live without, one that will enhance their life as well as their home – a much-loved work of art for the floor.
Confident decisions
‘Our virtual appointments give customers a bit more confidence that they are buying the rug that is perfect for them,’ Wendy Morrison explains. ‘Our handcrafted rugs are investment pieces, but a virtual appointment, to see examples, and discuss design details, colour and positioning, offers reassurance.
‘Not everyone is completely confident in their design decisions, but with our personal experience, we can offer suggestions and reassurance when they are needed, and are happy to answer any questions,’ Wendy adds.
Meet the team
Virtual appointments are also a great way to get to know the Wendy Morrison team, as well as find out more about the production process of your rug and the artisans behind every design. Our appointments offer a personal connection – you know who you are speaking to throughout the journey of your chosen rug from design to delivery.
As well as offering advice on rug colour, design and placement, the team enjoys explaining the story behind each rug design and keeping customers up-to-date with production, often sharing images of the rug on the loom.
Book your consultation
A virtual appointment is the first step in a handmade rug journey. To request a consultation, complete this short form and we will be in touch to arrange a suitable date and time for the virtual meeting.
We will ask about any design preference and rug size, what room the rug is for, as well as a bit of information about your room’s colour scheme, decor, lighting and fabrics. Feel free to send photographs of the space and don’t hesitate to pick our brains about any aspect of placement, design choice and after care. The beauty of this virtual meeting is that you can show us the space for the rug, so we can better deal with queries. Our aim is to answer any question you might have and help you make the best decision for your space.
Appointments last up to 30 minutes and are the perfect way to get personalised advice directly from our trained team.
‘Our virtual appointments are a lovely way for us to get to know our customers and for them to get to know us,’ Wendy adds. ‘Lots of our customers send pictures of their rug in her new home and we love sharing in this final stage in our rugs’ journeys.’
